Storytelling and the power of narrative have always fascinated me. As a kid I was drawn to things like character arcs across all major sports, getting to the bottom of my emotional responses to a given album, and the subtext of TV and films. Culture and the way it reflects our collective values, interests, and attitudes, is ultimately the motivation behind my writing.
I’ve been able to grow up with a diverse range of perspectives, having been born in Connecticut, before moving to Atlanta for most of my adolescence, completing my senior year of highschool in Germany, and then moving to New York following my graduation from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
My work experience has spanned the following:
- Editorial — I’ve been a staff writer for the culture magazine The FADER as well as Input, a technology property from Bustle Digital Group. I help guide a newsletter for Overtime and still write for various outlets on a freelance basis.
- Copywriting — Through my time with digital publications I’ve had to craft copy for branded creative content.
- Creative Consulting — Aside from written projects, I’ve helped lead research efforts for podcasts, curated experiential events, and edited video for multimedia content.
